Course Description

Goal

Students will use Microsoft Office 2000 software to learn intermediate and advanced features for word processing, creating spreadsheets with charts & graphs, databases, and PowerPoint presentations.   The goal of the student is to become computer literate, not only in general knowledge of the subject matter, but also in the practical application of computer software skills.
Microsoft Publisher will be used to create greeting cards and business cards.  

Microsoft Outlook will be used to create a calendar.

bulletEPC Keyboarding for Kids
bulletStudents use keyboard covers (Speedskins) to help learn "touch typing."
bulletGoal:  30 wpm with 0 errors
bulletComplete Sections 2, 4, 5, & 6 by  end of semester.

 

FrontPage 2003 & Microsoft Word 

will be used to design web pages.
