A Community of Tradition

St. Anne Catholic School was founded in 1937 as the parish school for St. Anne Catholic Church. Today, St. Anne School continues to fulfill its mission of providing a quality Catholic education rooted in moral religious values and fostered by commitment and service. St. Anne offers the traditional nine years of schooling associated with a Catholic elementary school – pre-kindergarten through eighth grades. Students attend weekly mass in the original church building and participate annually in the May Crowning of Mary.

A Community of Excellence

Our student’s scores on the Standard Achievement Test, which is given yearly, are consistently high. The median score is above the grade level for each grade. The majority of our students go on to Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School where many fill the ranks of honor graduates each year. St. Anne is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department, which is recognized by the Texas Education Agency. Our students are regularly named winners of science fairs, math competitions, spelling bees, athletic contests, and art, religion, music, and literary contests. Outstanding seventh graders are recognized in the Duke University Talent Identification Program.

A Community of Family

St. Anne strives to be a community with a sense of family. Service projects that take students, parents, and faculty off campus and out into the larger community have become a way of life at St. Anne. Eighth graders help on a regular basis at a local soup kitchen, and fourth and fifth graders sing at a local nursing home once a month. The National Catholic Education Association has twice honored St. Anne with the Parent Partnership award – in 1992, for success of the recycling program, and in 1996, for the Picture Lady Program.

A Community of Faith

The spirit of the Catholic faith touches every aspect of life at St. Anne. We emphasize the teaching of Christian values, morals, respect for others, personal responsibility for one’s actions, and an attitude of caring for others.  Our school motto is faith, community, and service.

A Community of Enrichment

St. Anne’s curriculum also includes courses that meet special needs. Advanced math is taught in grades seven and eight for those students who qualify. Students in all grade levels may avail themselves of Kumon Math twice a week after school. A special reading program is also available. A complete program of health and physical education is offered on all levels. Boy’s athletic teams compete in football, basketball, and track. Girl’s teams participate in volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. The soccer team is co-ed and is composed of grades five through eight.
